Spanco Freestanding Jib Cranes are designed to be mounted to a permanent concrete foundation, which both anchors the crane and acts as a counterweight for the forces exerted by the crane under maximum loading conditions. The recommended foundations are based on a soil pressure of 2,500 pounds per square foot. It may be possible to reduce the foundation size if it is determined feasible by a qualified architect or engineer.

-Base plate is secured by anchors bolts to a prescribed, reinforced concrete foundation
- Six anchor bolts for masts less than 16 inches in diameter;12 bolts for diameters 16 inches or greater
-The mast’s connection to the hexagonal base plate is reinforced with six equally-spaced gussets
-Relocatable: entire crane, mast, and base plate can be removed, leaving behind only the footer and anchor bolts
